Wise Guys Home Improvement was tasked with making this homeowners vision of a bathroom remodel come to life. It was originally two seperate bathrooms, and Wise Guys completely demolished both down to the studs.
Before (Master Bath):
Before (Hall bath):
Borrowing from a few closets, extra space was utilized to create a master bathroom that can now be separated back into two bathrooms for when guests come to visit. This was done by adding a frosted glass partition at the shower, which allowed the space to be divided into two seperate spaces. It is a unique design feature that was specially created by the homeowner himself.
The frosted glass partition divides the space in half. When closed, guests may access a portion of the bathroom with its own toilet, sink and shower. The other part of the space is accessible from the Master Bedroom and that portion has its own toilet, sink and cast iron soaking tub.
One of the unique features of this bathroom is that it allows for a lot of natural light for the space through a frosted window that is over the soaking tub. Not only is this energy efficient, it gives the room a bright and airy, spa-like feel. The porcelain tile gives the illusion of natural stone walls, without the maintenance. Mirrors were hung by the homeowners to further create the look of a larger space. The only light that is provided is a strip of LED lights that were mudded into the ceiling, as the frosted window allows for a great deal of light itself.
