Renovation - Palmetto Construction and Renovations

This small mud room was dated and allowed water to leak into the space during heavy rains. The windows and doors were old and the space did not have sufficient storage to properly serve as the primary entrance to the home.

The entire room was gutted to allow for a total transformation. The water issues were corrected and the main door was relocated from the side of the house to the front. This allowed for a double-entry walk-in closet. New windows were added and relocated to improve the layout of the space. The old carpet was replaced with tile and the wood paneling was removed to expose the brick fireplace.

Finally, custom cabinetry was added which included four cubbies with shoe storage underneath, concealed storage above, and a walnut bench seat. Outlets were added above each cobby to allow the space to serve as a charging station. A custom kennell was added that also has ample shoe storage and another walnumt bench seat. Wallpaper was added to one wall wich makes a nice contrast to the old brick that is the back of an interior fireplace.

Now this space offers additional functionality and the convenience needed for a young family.
