This remodel began with the homeowner visiting the Capital Kitchen & Bath showroom inquiring about a kitchen remodel. The howeowner mentioned that there may be some other areas for them to look at as well, and an initial visit with designer Scott A. Cristy and general contractor Gerald Meetze was scheduled. They found a very dated and dark space that the homeowner wished to brighten up and make more modern. The kitchen remodel quickly turned into a full first-level renovation involving the kitchen, dry bar, wet bar, laundry room, den, stairway, hallway, living room transformation, powder room, master bedroom, master bathroom and exterior doors. The homeowners and contractors were ready to remodel the space, all possessions were stored away and work began quickly.
On the first day of the job, three walls were removed from the space to open it up and capitalize on the wonderful lake views. The den and kitchen areas were cut off by a staircase, but that was fixed by opening up the bottom half of the staircase. The entire level has refinished hardwood flooring or new luxury vinyl plank flooring. The Den has new flooring and new exterior French doors plus new paint and trim.
The Kitchen got new cabinetry and hardware plus quartz countertops and a natural stone tile backsplash. New appliances and a new faucet filled out the kitchen. New vinly plank flooring, undercabinet lighting, trim and paint finished off the space. The Dry Bar and Wet Bar each got new cabinetry, hardware plus quartz countertops and glass shelving.
The Master Bedroom, Bathroom and custom closets finish out the remodeled areas. Part of the old den was reclaimed and turned into the new closet space. Capital Kitchen & Bath were able to repurpose a light fixture that the homeowner had and this became the vocal point of her closet. The entry to the closet is a new barn door. The bathroom has new cabinets and hardware plus quartz countertops. The shower and floor use the KBRS Waterproof system and new tile. The Bedroom has new trim and paint, and benefits from new exterior French doors to bring in that beautiful lake view.
