Addition - Palmetto Construction and Renovations 2
The homeowners wanted to add a master suite onto the rear of their home and reconfigure an interior bathroom/closet. To access the new space, a long hallway was created off the central hallway with space for a full set of linen cabinets.
The focal point of the new master bedroom is the vaulted ceiling. This was built using 1 x 6 V-Groove ceiling boards. Some extra detail was added using box beams throughout the space. The ceiling is finished with a large ceiling fan and can lighting. The new bedroom was also designed to create a space for an “office nook” - a small bump out with lots of windows for natural light. New hardwood flooring was installed which finishes the space.
The new master bath features large floor tiles, a custom double vanity with quartz countertops, under mount sinks and wall mounted sink fixtures. Medicine cabinets are surrounded by wall sconces for ample lighting. A new tile walk-in shower was also installed with a full glass sliding door to create a more open feel to the space. The quartz shower threshold matches the vanity countertops. A free standing acrylic tub with floor mounted tub filler completes the space. A tile tub surround finishes the area. Off the bathroom, a full walk-in closet was created with a custom closet storage system. One exterior window was removed to maximize storage space. The hardwood flooring was refinished and new lighting was added to complete the space.
A secondary full bathroom was added off the central hallway. This bathroom features a large vanity with quartz vanity top, an under mount sink, and a walk-in shower. New doorways were added to allow the new bath to service a secondary bedroom and guests when entertaining.
