This kitchen started off with two areas separated by a dividing wall. The kitchen also had very old appliances and both spaces had interesting blue tile flooring. The owner wanted to open up the space and update the kitchen. Access to the backyard from the new space would be a bonus.
Palmetto Construction & Renovations removed the dividing wall, reworked the entire floor system and removed and replaced windows to add a French door.
The new kitchen features all new custom cabinets, quartz countertops and a tile backsplash. The addition of a large central island with a second sink and walnut countertop make it ideal for entertaining. The farmhouse sink, gas stove and custom exhaust hood are all focal points of the new space.
A bar area was added at the opposite end of the new space and includes a matching walnut countertop, beverage cooler, ice maker and custom cabinets for additional storage.
