2012 CRA Category 3 - Carolina Traditional Homes, Inc.

The existing kitchen felt small and closed off from the rest of the house. The owners didn’t feel like it was well suited for entertaining or functionality.  Carolina Traditional Homes, LLC helped the owners update their kitchen and make it easier for entertainment between the kitchen and great room.  The existing cabinets were completely removed, along with the hardwood flooring.  A portion of the wall between the great room and kitchen was removed to open up the space.  A large header was installed to support the weight of the second floor of the structure to create a larger opening for the great room.  The doorway from the kitchen to the hallway was expanded to allow for access to a new wet bar and the hall closet was removed and rebuilt to allow for better functionality of the new space.  The existing hardwood flooring was replaced with new ceramic tile flooring.  The cabinets and countertops were removed and replaced and some of the appliances were upgraded.  The result was an elegant kitchen with all the bells and whistles that easily entertain guests.
