2013 CRA Category 2 - Palmetto Construction

One of the things these homeowners enjoy most is entertaining guests in their home.  However, the original kitchen with dark brown cabinets and red laminate countertops did not have adequate space or functionality.  The project consisted of eliminating an interior wall and incorporating an exterior mud porch into the overall layout.  We also added a larger opening into the dining room, which ultimately created a visual sightline from the front of the house into the back yard.

The kitchen gained custom cabinets, marble countertops, can lighting in the ceiling and more lighting inside and below the cabinets.  The beverage area and peninsula, with seating for guests, make hosting gatherings much more enjoyable.

The certerpiece of the kitchen is the homeowner's pet project - a fully-restored 1949 O'Keefe & Merritt stove that looks awesome!
