2014 CRA Category 2

WIth one renovation under their belt, the Rayfields decided to turn their attention to the kitchen.  The original kitchen had laminate countertops and aging cabinets.  Their focus was trying to gain additional casual dining space and creating a flow between the kitchen and the exterior living space.

The project consisted of eliminating the interior wall that divided the kitchen and dining room and reworking the mud room.  This created a much larger space that serves as both a kitchen and an informal gathering place.  Palmetto Construction & Renovations installed custom cabinets, granite countertops, decorative backsplash tile, can lighting, and lighting both inside and under the cabinets.  The large island, with a rub-thru finish, offers seating for guests during social gatherings. The mud-room now has custom cabinets and includes two lockers for children's backpacks.
