This project was a complete renovation of a condo unit in downtown Columbia. In the bathroom, Capital Kitchen & Bath removed the tub and replaced it with a walk-in shower. In the kitchen, they removed part of a wall to create a more open look and feel plus a peninsula top. They replaced all of the flooring with tile and replaced all of the cabinets, countertops and appliances and topped it off with a new backsplash. The entire condo was then repainted and the interior doors and door handles were upgraded.
There are a couple of special challenges when working in a condo. First, you've got to get all of your materials and crew up and down in an elevator as quietly as possible. Second, the space is small and you can't adjust the perimeter walls because they're concrete and also belong to the neighbors. This also means that you can't move outlets around as needed or drains in the bathroom. But, with some know-how and ingenuity a professional remodeler can still transform a space like this to something new and appealing.
