Before buying this property, the current owners had admired this ranch syle house on Lake Katherine for quite some time. After the devastating rain event and flooding that occurred in October 2015 and affected this house, they approached the owner about the possibility of a sale. The owner agreed and sold the property. Now, the challenge of rebuilding began, and that's where Palmetto Construction & Renovations came into the picture.
The renovation included replacing all of the sheet rock walls and ceilings, installing all new oak hardwood flooring and new custom cabinets in addition to painting the entire interior and exterior of their house. A few modifications to the original layout helped create a better flow and the removal of a wall in the kitchen helped make a more open concept.
Highlights of the kitchen include under cabinet lighting, granite countertops, and a tile backsplash. A large island was designed into the space and features granite countertops and some nice cabinetry detail. A master suite addition on the rear of the house includes a mud room and laundry room with access to a large open deck on the rear of the house. The master bath features "his" and "hers" vanities with granite countertops, a drop-in tub with branite deck top and a large walk-in closet.
With all of the changes and improvements, this house is now quite a showplace! The new owners are extremely pleased with their new home and welcome the previous owner over often as he lives just a block away.
