The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the association, including: answering and routing incoming phone calls and performing administrative duties in support of the association.
This position provides primary administrative support for committee, council and staff needs related to Communications, Sales & Promotions, and Public Events. Such responsibilities include fields and processes requests; assists with questions or problems and/or directs to the appropriate staff; monitors office supplies; maintains BIA calendar in Microsoft Outlook; manages mail distribution; assists with data entry for BIA related software and provides secondary (backup) administrative support for other committees, councils, boards, and chapters as needed and assigned, including the Building Industry Charitable Foundation Board of Trustees.
Applicants must have strong oral and written communications, interpersonal and organizational skills; the ability to work with diverse individuals and general public; ability to perform as both a team player and independently and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
